Valentine's Day Postcard Tutorial

I'm happy to say that I'm all ready for Valentine's Day....and it's still only January. Yes, it's the last day of January, but still. I'm glad that I am finished early.

I took photos along the way, showing what I did, just in case you are wondering.

Fuse neutral fabrics to heavy weight interfacing.  Postcard size pieces are 4x6".
Add color and design to a piece of white fabric. I used a homemade hot glue stencil and some
Tumble Dyes. Set aside to dry.
Get out one of your favorite stencil designs.  This one is Random Squares (6x6") and is
designed by fellow Stencil Girl designer Jessica Sporn.
Using the stencil and some metallic paint, apply the design to the background.
Add some stitching on the background.
Apply fusible to the wrong side of your pink fabric. Create heart shapes and cut out.
Fuse a heart to the background and stitch around the edges.
Add thread stitched details. You can add words too, if you like.
Final steps include fusing fabric to the back side of the card and then zigzag stitching around the edges.

Now I'm all ready to send out some love!
